2 July, 2012 (Sydney):  NetComm Wireless Limited (ASX: NTC) today announced a new addition to its recently launched Fibre™ Series. The WiFi Data and VoIP Gateway (NF3ADV) gives personal and Small Office Home Office (SoHo) users instant access to high speed broadband using their choice of an ADSL2+, fibre or 3G/4G USB connection. The future-ready NF3ADV is set to transform wireless performance with simultaneous WiFi data transmission over two wireless networks, while also supporting demanding user activities with up to three wired connections to Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports.

The advanced NF3ADV features a built-in ADSL2+ modem, Gigabit WAN port and a USB port for 3G /4G modems to connect users to ADSL today, fibre tomorrow and 3G/4G anytime. Designed to support bandwidth-intensive social, communication, gaming and entertainment activities at home, in the office or at temporary locations such as holiday homes, the NF3ADV insignificantly enhances wireless speed and efficiency with concurrent dual-band WiFi which gives users access to two separate wireless networks. Video streaming and other high-bandwidth activities can share a 5GHz radio band while wireless devices such as laptops and tablet computers simultaneously operate on a separate 2.4GHz frequency to eradicate interference caused by single channel data congestion.

"The NF3ADV reflects our commitment to design innovation and excellence as well as our focus on staying ahead of network advances to provide personal and business users with a device that will optimise their online activities well into the future," said Craig Turner, General Manager Product Management, NetComm Wireless.

The Dual Band WiFi Data and VoIP Gateway prepares users for the global shift to fibre connectivity while further supporting future requirements with next generation IPv6 addressing and energy saving features such as time of day LED dimming and WiFi power-save functions. The NF3ADV also features: an in-built DECT base station to enable low-cost Internet (VoIP) calls; two USB ports to connect a 3G/4G USB modem and an external hard disk drive for shared access to password secure media and files; an FXO port for landline backup; six powerful WiFi antennas; a WSP button for simple wireless network setup and advanced network security.
