Gitex Dubai organisers have released statistics from sources in the middle east that claim market information estimates show that Middle East and North Africa (MENA) IT market is set to grow from US$ 6.9 billion in 2003 to US$ 13.4 billion in 2008. The MENA region is currently the third fastest growing IT market in the world after India and China.

This Middle Eastern growth is an opportunity for NetComm. Over the last two years this market has revealed a great opportunity for our infrastructure business. We managed to secure distribution agreements in South Africa and Saudi Arabia late last year, and this trip is an opportunity to enhance the NetComm message across new segments within our international target markets said Stewart.

Gulf News reported late last year that Dubai had 30,000 construction cranes (24% of the worlds available cranes) in the area. This building growth is an opportunity for NetComm with our infrastructure to provide internet access into multi story and multi tenanted buildings. The NetComm equipment allows for multiple properties to connect back to one central system and to utilise some of the latest technologies with ADSL2+ including internet, video and applications on demand said Stewart.

Stewart and Chung will attend the GITEX event between September 8th and 12th. GITEX information can be found at www.gitex.com.
