NetComm, a leading Australian provider of communications products and solutions, has announced the release of the new MyLanCam range of IP network cameras for use in home security and monitoring applications the NS370 fixed colour camera and NS370W wireless fixed colour camera.

NetComm, a leading Australian provider of communications products and solutions, has announced the release of the new MyLanCam range of IP network cameras for use in home security and monitoring applications the NS370 fixed colour camera and NS370W wireless fixed colour camera.

"NetComm's new MyLanCam range offers home users a cost effective surveillance alternative to traditional analogue CCTV units, which are expensive to install and are outdated technology," said David Stewart, Managing Director, NetComm. "In addition, the NetComm network cameras come with their own built-in web server, allowing for simple, remote monitoring over the Internet at any time from anywhere in the world."

The NS370 and NS370W capture live video images and make them available over a Local Area Network (LAN) and the Internet for remote monitoring. The built-in web servers allow users to access the camera using a web browser to view images, and to control the camera over the Internet from anywhere in the world at any time.

The cameras are easily mounted in a variety of locations and come with a software utility allowing users to manage up to 16 cameras at any one time. A configurable motion detection facility is also included, which can be set up to capture still images for archiving or can be sent directly to users by email to alert if the camera is triggered.  In addition, the NS370W's wireless function allows for the images to be streamed wirelessly to a computer.

"Not only can homes use these cameras as a surveillance tool, they have excellent application for any small office or business location that needs a cost effective surveillance or monitoring solution," said David Stewart. "For example, a child care centre can install one and give a login to the parents to check on their children over the Internet while they are at work."
