The modem installs directly into a desktop computer to provide broadband Internet connectivity.

The NB100 addresses the growing trend of entertainment networking, as it is an ideal companion for Media Centre PCs. The unit allows for multimedia content to be downloaded directly from the Internet into the Media Centre unit, said David Stewart, Managing Director, NetComm. The NB100 allows for Internet connectivity to be built straight into a computer, removing the need for a separate desktop device. The unit is a standards compliant ADSL modem that provides an always on high speed Internet broadband connection.

With transfer data rates up to 8Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream, the NB100 is the perfect solution for high-bandwidth applications such as access to a network, the Internet and video. The NB100 is fully compliant with ANSI T1.413 Issue 2, ITU G.992.2 standards.
