Sydney, April 2, 2007: NetComm, a leading Australian provider of data communications products and solutions, introduces to Wireless World 2008, the V24W WiFi VoIP Handset a stylish, wireless portable handset.

The V24W uses 802.11g the standard for maximum speed of 54Mbps when making voice calls over the Internet via VoIP services providers such as Engin, Mynetfone, Freshtel or GoTalk. The phone is portable, so users can use it in an office that has wireless set up or in a hotspot at an airport, hotel or caf to make VoIP calls and significantly reduce the costs of their mobile phone bills.

The phone allows for calls to be made over multiple clients including Yahoo, MSN and Skype, and also allows the user to surf the internet with a full web browser. The phone runs on Microsoft Windows CE, so the menu is familiar to anyone who knows windows.

The V24W has multiple purposes because of its wireless portability, David Stewart, Managing Director of NetComm.
