NetComm, Australias leading provider of broadband communication products has appointed LAN Systems as a value-added distributor.

The deal gives LAN Systems distribution rights to the range of NetComm products, with particular focus on the value-add areas of wireless, VoIP, networking and IP cameras.

LAN Systems General Manager, Wendy OKeeffe, said partnering with NetComm gives LAN Systems access to a much broader range of quality products aimed at the small to medium business (SMB) and small office/ home office (SOHO) market.

The SMB market is an area of increasing importance for LAN Systems and critical to our growth strategy for this year, she said. As an Australian vendor with a history of developing leading-edge technology, we believe NetComm is uniquely positioned to understand the needs of Australian SMB customers.

We are particularly excited about NetComms range of IP cameras, which dovetail well with our focus on security and provide an ideal way for us to help our customers move into this lucrative, high-growth market.

NetComm has been working with LAN Systems staff for several weeks to train and equip them to market and support its products with resellers.

NetComms Managing Director, David Stewart, said the appointment of LAN Systems is a major step forward for the Australian company.

LAN Systems is widely regarded as one of the best value-added ICT distributors in the country and maintains extremely close relationships with its reseller channel. Not only do they place strong emphasis on understanding and effectively supporting all the products they distribute, but they are very proactive in terms of marketing and promotions.

Mr Stewart said NetComm would continue to develop advanced networking and communications solutions for the SMB/SOHO markets. Where those products require a higher degree of technical expertise in terms of sales and support, we will leverage LAN Systems superior abilities in these areas with exclusive distribution agreements, he said.

We believe their ability to personally touch the resellers, run interactive training events at times convenient to the channel, and deliver a full understanding of the products, will play an important role in NetComms future growth.
