Obligations

NetComm Wireless recognises its moral and legal obligations to take all reasonable precautions to protect the safety and provide a healthy work environment for NetComm Wireless employees, contractors, customers and visitors. This commitment extends to ensuring that the organisation's operations do not place the community at risk of injury, illness or property damage.

Commitment

In compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation, NetComm Wireless is committed to the provision of:

  1. A safe and healthy workplace;
  2. Safe plant and equipment;
  3. Appropriate training to develop adequate skills and knowledge;
  4. Appropriate supervision and resources to conduct work practices in accordance with health and safety systems.

NetComm Wireless is operates an Occupational Health and Safety Management System which complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 4801:2001.

Responsibilities

NetComm Wireless management representatives are accountable for implementing this policy in their area of responsibility.

The conduct of every person on the premises of NetComm Wireless is expected to be such that it does not contribute to the occurrence of accidents or the creation of hazards which may endanger that individual or other persons.

NetComm Wireless encourages all staff and others who visit the premises to regard accident prevention and safe working as a collective and individual responsibility.

Resources in line with the importance attached to occupational health and safety will be made available to comply with all relevant Acts and Regulations and to ensure that the workplace is safe and without risk to health.

NetComm Wireless Health and Safety policies and procedures represent the required performance standards and are designed to assist management implement effective Health and Safety programs.

Consultation

NetComm Wireless is committed to occupational health and safety consultation and cooperation between management and employees.

Application

This policy is applicable to NetComm Wireless in all its operations and functions including those situations where employees are required to work off site.

This Policy will be reviewed annually and as required to reflect changes in the organisation or Health and Safety legislation.
